"My daughter first attended the Old Bank Nursery when she was 10 months old back in 2019, from her first day she never looked back, we were lucky if we even got a wave! She now age 3 attends the Kaleidoscope pre-school and absolutely loves it! She genuinely looks forward to going in and is disappointed when it’s not a nursery day. "Both of our children attend Kaleidoscope, one in nursery and the other making use of wrap around care from school. They both really enjoy their time which is full of games, crafts and play. Our youngest has settled in so well, he runs in each day excited to spend time with his key workers and friends. The staff are so attentive and really get to know each child and what they enjoy taking part in. They tailor activities for the children based on their preference and learning needs, I also love the amount of outdoor exploring they get to do"

"Both our boys went to Kaleidoscope nursery and pre school 3 days a week and they loved every minute of it. The team in the nursery are absolutely great; they cared for the children as if they were their own, and the children loved spending time with them. Leaving children at nursery can be nerve –wracking but both children settled in so well, and I could tell they genuinely enjoyed each day, and the activities they did. The boys always came out of nursery/ pre school with a smile on their face, and I’d quite often have to wait whilst they finished off an activity they were doing. (That’s always a good sign for me!). The boys formed some great friendships in the nursery and have continued these as they started school. They still see the team around the school site and have fond memories of their time there, and it definitely helped with their transition from preschool to school. The team at Kaleidoscope were always available to have a quick chat to about any concerns at drop off or pick up, and always willing to help where ever they can. Both boys now attend ‘after school club’ which is very convenient given its on the same site as the school and they both enjoy their time there (especially when the weather is good and they get to spend time playing football or various games, the After school club team set up). My youngest especially likes Beth’s special pasta dish!"

Independent Nursery

Kaleidoscope Child Care built our nursery within the school grounds in 2003, having moved from the centre of town to provide the school community with onsite childcare and early years education. We believe in investing in the needs of the town and working in partnership with the school

Spacious Rooms

Our large, bright, airy rooms offer a wide variety of exciting play and learning opportunities. Our preschool rooms have direct access to an all-weather outdoor play area. Low level windows in the preschool department offer children visibility of the outdoor environment

Outdoor Space

At Kaleidoscope Nursery we have wonderful gardens with lots of space to play and explore. Learn about nature in our greenhouse, vegetable garden and nature areas. With majestic mature trees we have a natural canopy to play beneath where we learn all about the natural world and how we can take care of it so that it takes care of us

Flexibility

We offer a choice of all-year-round care or term time only care at Kaleidoscope Nursery with a variety of sessions available from half day, short day or full day care. For parents with nursery and school age children we offer the convenience of being on school site which makes a huge difference to the logistics of drop off and collection time during the family day

Learning
